WORD: Hello from Oklahoma City - Host: ‘Testorment’ The M.A.s.T. Weekend was a top notch production - including the contest. We are the unannounced runner-up. This is fine with us because the winners, Master Roger & boi bill are deserving. We're going to be staying with them in Atlanta this weekend. The Contest should be proud of being well on it's way to attaining recognition on-par with the other International Events. What's needed is what has always been needed: Promotion. After six years, the event has yet to enjoy a true marketing plan. On a most personal level there are two things that happened that could have made a difference. Fifield had his favorite, it seems. We could have waited. Why? Because this is it for us... Once is enough. Had we not entered, the results would have been the same. And M.A.s.T. would have had us as it's "upcoming attraction". They marked us down on our fantasy, we're told. I'm not asking to see the scores, although they are available. The only reason to see them is to find out how to do better in life - like any other test scores offer. boi believes it was too 'high art' for them... The title was" The Sultan and the slaveboy". Basically the boy danced for me - after all he's been a male belly dansur for over 17 years! For us, it was great... We're looking forward to seeing the video so we can also judge ourselves. And we plan to do the piece elsewhere in the near future. rodtney scored best of all the speeches - 20 points above the next highest! This gives him a platform which I hope he will continue to use. Jill Carter came up immediately after the contest and said, "You don't need the title - you're living it." Which is true of course. And I think the option of annonymity is better for our mission. The thing is, that we were ready willing and able (especially financially) to make the M.A.s.T. mission, our mission, for the next eighteen months. As Mistress Morgana said, we don't have to face the day to day scrutiny of every move and word we make and speak. Instead we can continue to be reporters and commentators on what and how we see. We will do this. You can read our report and diary on LeatherWeb. We'll be updating before we move east this Thursday. We did affect some very wonderful people - especially women. This is the case wherever we go. One beautful Denver couple came back stage and also to the parade to be with us. They had seen our web page two weeks ago and recognized us when we walked on stage. What an interesting experience - our first out and open fans: Joan and bonnie and their little Yorkie.. And there was 'Micky", the female full-leather officer who was our back stage protector who revered boi rodtney. rodtney truly felt honored by her recognition. Their moments were deeply endearing. Women seem to sense our Heart. I wonder about the men? I think a case could be made about some men who do SM - Master/slave - that they are fearful of intamacy; or can handle it only in controlled and measured amounts. Would I say we are a threat? In some ways, yes. Because envy can build up around he prospect of realizing an ideal. It's the down side of being a role model - of attempting to inspire the realm of the possible. Did this affect our contest scores? Everything does. But not to the extent of changing the outcome. In the end, everything is divine. I did have a Spirit moment that said, "Spirit sent us to win; but if there is even the slightest impurity of intent, Spirit would protect us. We had to believe we could win and we did win in many meaningful ways beyond that of titleholder. " We gained more respect from the royalty from those that were there than anyone, including the contestants." These were the powerful moments as stated by boi rodtney. "It went far beyond protocol." I always say, "Wait three days". This is the third day and rodtney says, "...and even as we speak, things are growing for us without our knowledge." Last nignt we laid out and watched a movie together - the first time in at least six months. We're a complete unit together and that's what counts. Just now I called my sister for her birthday and introduced my boy as the love of my life for the rest of my life. Master/slave is not part of my relationship with her; but foreverness is; so I share that we are all family. Which is true. We ARE family. Peace and Blessings, Phil & rodtney. PS: We will be updating our web diary today and tomorrow. When we get back to San Francisco we'll have another M.A.s.T. pot luck. Personally, I'll be interested in Fifield's posture. PPS: The new International Master/slave are starting a formal M.A.s.T. chapter in Atlanta.
