THE NOMINEES ARE

The nominating process ended last Saturday and the nominees for the 1999 Golden Dildeaux Awards were announced by the Golden Gate Guards. The awards will take place at the Eagle on Saturday, April 11 at a beer bust with entertainment. Donna Sachet and Lenny Broberg will MC the event, which will feature entertainment and lots of surprises. Voting ballots (to benefit Rita Rockett brunches) are only $1 at Daddy's, the Eagle and the Powerhouse. Voting began this past Monday, March 22 and continues through midnight on Wednesday, April 7th. Vote early and often!

The nominees for this year are as follows: Punchboard Award: Ed Morgan, Tony Apedaile, Ray Tilton and Rick Lubrano. Top of the Year: Philip Turner, Don Thompson, Paul Gabriel and Alan Selby. Golden Globes: Ray Tilton, Chester Rice, George Carreras and Michael Gagne. Nature Boy: Emery Frank, Robert Larabee, Den Calkins, and Andy Rose. Golden Arm: Tom Rodgers, Omar Moseley, Gregory McDowell and Russ Libby. Best Male Performance by a Female Impersonator: Donna Sachet, "Ernestine", Tim Bishop and Empress Sheba. Paper Wedding Dress: Ray Tilton, Frank Vasconcellos, Mario Torrigino and Jon Ayers; Voyeur of the Year: Tim Bishop Mr. Marcus, Don Thompson and Sean Wright. Sliver Lips: Donna Sachet, Joel Feraci, Andy Anderson and Mr. Marcus. Leap Frog: Mike Spencer, Tony Apedaile, Ray Tilton and Omar Moseley. In the Cob Web category, "Mama" Reinhardt, Jerry Roberts, Dick Manning = and John Currier are listed. Best Performance in a Three-Way: Ray Tilton, Steve Gaynes Family, Dirk Martia and Werner Tillinger. Prince of Piss: Chuck Rigsby, Tim Turner and Warren Cave. Pushy Bottom: Unicorn Escobedo, Jeff Minster, Todd Kepus and Tony Bowser. Bootlicker Award: Glenn Tomblin, John Currier, Dick Manning and Emery Frank. Last Thursday, March 18th, Mr. June 2000 was chosen for the Millenium bare chest calendar with Doug Harrison, T.J. Istvan, Paul Tucci and Michael Wieland put the six hopefuls through the paces to another packed Powerhouse. After all the shenanigans both on and offstage (Andy Anderson always has fun at the contests!), the calendar spot went to Chris Hoffman (another fuzzy one). The runner-up was David Polizzi. Mr. July will be chosen tonight, Thursday, March 25th with judges Mr. SF Leather Werner Tillinger, Daddy's Boy Todd Kepus and John Trubino of the Golden Gate Guards.

Over the weekend, there were six more leather titles awarded to hopefuls. Among them, the International Master and slave competition in Atlanta; Mr./Ms. New Mexico Leather in Albuquerque, and Mr./Ms. Mid-American Leatherman and Leatherwoman at the Cell Block in Chicago (a feeder to the American Brotherhood Weekend in Washington, DC next month).

At my deadline, the only results I got were from Atlanta where two leather women, Khiki and Samantha Cavannarro took the titles. This coming weekend, Seattle's Leather Pride week continues. I'll be there to judge the Mr. Washington State Leather contest this weekend. In the meantime, keep living, keep laughing and keep loving. Just do it in leather! ###

Friday, March 26: Victory party for Werner Tillinger, Mr. SF Leather 99 at the Edge beginning at 2000. Come and meet our representative at IML in May. Saturday, March 27: Mr. Western New York Leather contest at Charades in Syracuse by the Journeymen MC. Here in SF, The 15 Association monthly play party. You know the rules. BYOB. Guests must arrive with you! In Seattle? The Mr. Washington State Mr. Leather contest at Neighbors with lots of entertainment. Always a sterling event in that beautiful city.

Sunday, March 28: The 15 Association hosts the Eagle beer bust today from 1500-1800, $8, food. No other details at my deadline.

Wednesday, March 31: The usual madness prevails at the Edge for their Full Moon Party/Contest. Eric Weinmann says, "Any asshole can enter." Got it?
